Grasso's reciprocating compressor range includes 48 Grasso models of compressors subdivided into 6 series: Grasso 12E, Grasso 12, Grasso 10, Grasso 6 and Grasso 5HP as open type compressors and the Grasso 7S and Grasso 8S as semi-hermetic ammonia compressors.

The Grasso 12E, Grasso 12 and Grasso 10 series have an unique welded steel crankcase that ensures an extremely high heat dissipation, which allows operation without cylinder head cooling and oil cooling in most applications.

GEA Grasso screw compressor product |
GEA Grasso offers 22 different types of screw compressors, subdivided into three series (SH, MC and LT). They differ from each other in volume flow ranges and their degree of integrated functional components of the package into the compressor housing. GEA Grasso screw compressor packages are available in single (Grasso SP1) or two-stage (Grasso SP2) versions and as DuoPack executions (Grasso SPduo).

GEA Grasso’s screw compressor program offers different applications for refrigeration, heat pumps and air condition as well as for gas compression. “R line“ is designed for compression of refrigerants. The Grasso screw compressors are characterised by over 40 years experience in the industrial refrigeration, air conditioning, marine applications and a multitude of innovations in the development of screw compressor technology. Developed specially for applications in industrial refrigeration and air conditioning with capacities of around 200 to 8,700 kW (57 to 2,476 tons), they can be used for booster and high pressure (28 bar/52 bar), for single stage or two stage and heat pump applications up to 52 bar. The complete range of Grasso R-line screw compressors covers swept volume flows from 230 to 8,560 m³/h (136 to 5,069 CFM) and contains 22 different compressor types, divided into three
design families SH, MC and LT, also known as SMALL, MEDIUM and LARGE. |

GEA Grasso screw compressor packages are based on 22 sizes of Grasso screw compressors.
It goes without saying, that all conventional and modern refrigerants can be used. GEA Grasso offers three different philosophies for its packages, the single stage series (SP1), the two stage series (SP2) and the so called DuoPacks (SPduo). As a combination of the compressors and design philosophies, Grasso can offer over 100 tailor made screw compressor packages. For each new development we direct our attention to reliability, efficiency, quiet running, environmental protection. Features for which Grasso is already renowned. |
